Our Story

Kingston Carriage House

Nineteenth-century architectural details meld seamlessly with modern design at Kingston Carriage House, creating an elegant escape rooted in history. Each room is thoughtfully curated to provide a unique experience, ensuring no two stays are alike.

Our eight guest suites, including three sprawling first-floor suites and five distinctive second-floor lofts, can accommodate up to 22 guests on-site.

Guests enjoy complimentary light breakfast and an honor bar at our second floor Captain’s Lounge, access to a communal garden courtyard, Bellino Bed & Bath linens, goose down bedding, Casa Posta toiletries, and Mizar & Alcor handwoven robes.

Built in 1851 and once home to a saloon, oyster bar, ship chandelier shop, and B&B, Kingston Carriage House has transformed into a serene retreat blending its storied 19th-century origins with modern design. Situated in Kingston’s Historic Waterfront District, the property offers eight distinct accommodations across two buildings, including spacious ground-floor suites and cozy lofts.

The Experience

At Kingston Carriage House, our approach to hospitality is understated yet attentive — offering guests the freedom of self check-in alongside the assurance of round-the-clock support. While we do not have staff on-site, our dedicated team is available 24 hours a day by phone to assist with anything you may need, from local recommendations to in-room requests. This is our version of elevated, invisible service: gracious, intuitive, and designed to let you unwind on your own terms.

  • Located on the first floor, The Parlour Suite was made for entertaining, or for guests seeking a spacious retreat with the luxury of culinary convenience. Sleeping up to two guests in a queen bedroom, the suite also features a sitting room with decorative fireplace, plus a large, light-filled living area with a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests. The full bathroom includes a clawfoot soaking tub and shower.

    The Chef’s Kitchen, with private access to the communal garden lounge provides a delightful space for dinner parties and small gatherings.

The en-suite bathroom features full amenities with a bath and shower. This room is also a staff favorite for a quick getaway or staycation.

Nestled on the first floor of our newly renovated Coach House, the Moto Grand is a versatile and playful space. With private access to West Union Street and our Communal Garden Lounge, it’s an ideal setting for relaxation, retreats or entertaining.

  • Designed with flexibility in mind, the expansive barn and garage doors flood the space with sunlight, creating an open-air ambiance that seamlessly blends the interior with the surrounding neighborhood. Inside, you’ll find a large living area featuring two plush sofas, an eclectic mix of vintage and modern artwork, a kitchenette with dining area, and a full bath featuring radiant heated floors, reclaimed wood paneling, and decorative tiles. The Moto Grand comfortably accommodates up to two guests in a convertible Queen Murphy bed.

    For events, the space can easily be transformed by rearranging or removing furniture, making it perfect for private dinner parties, wellness retreats, or small intimate gatherings.
